Written by one of the foremost authorities on the chemistry of viruses, nucleic acids and proteins, this well-illustrated treatise on chemistry of virus proteins and nucleic acids can be readily understood and easily read by any worker in the general fields of biology and medicine. The text would not be appreciated by the educated layman (contrary to the statement by the author in his preface), but it is appropriate for most workers in cellular biology, viruses, or cancer.
Clinicians, whether their orientation is toward investigation or therapy, would do well to realize the important developments that are taking place in
