The practitioner of medicine would often like to know current views on the etiology of the diseases with which he is concerned and recently learned facts concerning the anatomy, physiology, or pathology of the affected system of the body. Dr. Abramson was stimulated by this need to undertake the onerous task of collecting and condensing important new knowledge on the vascular and lymphatic systems of the body.
To compile such a general review as this requires a technique somewhere between that of getting together a specialized symposium and that of compiling a textbook. In a specialized symposium it is required
