This new book of pharmacology is intended for a class of readers which, unfortunately, does not exist. Too general and vague as to its physiological information, it does not contain anything valuable for the physician, the pharmaceutical chemist, or the investigator. As it does not provide either new facts or present older information in better form, one wonders what was the initial incentive to undertake such a ponderous effort. The book lacks an introduction in the true sense, and we will never know for whom the book was intended or what purpose the author meant to achieve.
