Despite its brevity, this 600-page outline of pharmacology by Dr. Cutting is surprisingly complete. Its conciseness and telegraphic style make it a useful source for quick reference. Structural formulae are included for most agents and are so arranged as to facilitate comparison of molecular similarity of groups of compounds. Good use is made of simple diagrams in many sections to explain terminology and mechanisms. The index includes both trade names and generic terminology. The style of this book should allow for its being kept up-to-date in spite of the rapid introduction of new agents. This text would be an excellent
