Dr. Frost's Mathematical Elements of Bone Remodelling is irrefutably an achievement. Few in either the field of mathematics or basic research could equal such an opus, in fact the first comment one might make is to question the purpose behind a mathematical analysis of bone remodelling and to wonder at the nature of the audience to which it is addressed. Dr. Frost remarks that remodelling of bone is a dynamic process which forces one to use mathematical terms, which may be true, yet the mathematics he uses is perhaps a little advanced and difficult for all but a very few
