This collection is outstanding and is a decided credit to everyone who has put his hand to its preparation. While it is certain to be scorned by those who view the scholarly approach as evidence of decadence, the volume may fairly be said to contain information and understanding on and about the circulation that ought to be minimal intellectual equipment for all physicians. Some of its chapters have been constructed with such skill and loving care that not only may they be expected to please the initiated but they also can serve admirably as introduction and lure for the beginner.
