As they indicate in the introduction to their little book, Greenwood and Finkelstein have chosen a difficult subject to discuss. A major reason for this difficulty is the problem of defining sinoatrial block, both electrocardiographically and physiologically. Based on their review of the literature (225 references), the authors present most of the plausible theories of definition and physiology and add four personal cases. Two points of their discussion deserved more qualification.
