Venereal Diseases covers the clinical aspects of its title, and also briefly considers some nonvenereal disease such as yawa, bejel, pinta, endemic syphilis, and other disease processes causing lesions of the genitalia. Illustrations consist of many excellent black and white photographs as well as some color plates.
One serious drawback of this text is its lack of any references to the literature. Thus, statements such as "arthritis occurring in association with gonococcal urethritis is usually due to associated Reiter's disease and not to the gonococcus," are not documented, thereby forcing the reader to either accept or reject them on face
