These two books are sound and important contributions to literature concerning the understanding of adolescents. Developmental needs and struggles are presented in clear, lucid style with jargon omitted. Suggested ways of working with and treating adolescents are included.
In Emotional Problems of Adolescents, a revised edition by Drs. J. Roswell Gallagher and Herbert I. Harris, several new chapters have lent increased value and usefulness to the original book. The authors approach their material from a sound basis, looking realistically at the needs of the adolescent. Throughout the book they stress the point of view that the greater the physician's knowledge
