Concerned entirely with genetics at the molecular level, emphasizing experimental data from microorganism, and presenting little human material, this book is neither intended for nor aimed at the medical profession. Except for those physicians interested in genetics to a depth greater than that found at the clinical level, most will find this text difficult and detailed.
The opening sentence states: "This book deals almost totally with how genes act and the effect of their actions, rather than how they are inherited." And indeed, it does!
