A student's atlas, in a second edition, illustrating electron-microscopic details of mammalian cell-types. Slightly longer Notes on Technic; rearrangement of plates on a more functional scheme; new plates on gastric parietal cells, ovarian follicle, bone; new diagrams on fine cell structures and on three-dimensional relations of myofibrils to the T-system. Compared to Rhodin's An Atlas of Ultrastructure, remains less comprehensive and hence less useful as a reference atlas. Finely-printed; again available in hard-cover and loose-leaf editions.
