While the report of The President's Commission . . . has been widely described and commented on in the public and medical press, the more revolutionary, detailed, and explicit report and recommendations of the Royal Commission of Health Services of our neighbor Canada has been hardly noted. The first volume of this report (see Book Notice, December, 1964, p. 1212) presented the meat of the Commission's conclusions, but this second and concluding volume of the Commission's report presents material worth the attention of all physicians concerned with the role of medicine in the community.
