Physicians who might buy this book will be greatly deceived if they believe that it is an up-to-date and complete account of the diagnosis and treatment of histoplasmosis. Only 20 of the 190 pages are given over to these two aspects. Actually the largest single section of the book is the list of references (68 pages). The remainder is composed of short chapters on symptomatology, pathology, allergy and immunology, mycology, etc.
The chapter on diagnosis is poorly organized and incomplete. In no single place is there proper instruction to the physician as to what specimens should be collected from the
