Although most of these papers are concerned with method and instrumentation in hemodialysis, extracorporeal circulation, pace-making, and artificial hearts, enough of them discuss practical experience in dialysis for chronic renal failure to warrant bringing notice of this Transactions to the attention of clinicians. Two review papers should have special appeal to non-ASAIOers: "Progress in the Determination of Histocompatibility," by Billingham; and "The Clinical Diagnosis of Poisons," by Maher and Schreiner.
