Dr. Hirschhorn has prepared this book as an introductory manual of procedures for urology residents. It consists largely of detailed instructions for the performance of selected urological tests and examinations and includes directions for the proper use of certain urological equipment. Considerations of the clinical patterns of disease and of problems in differential diagnosis are, for the most part, not included. Although there is a section on renal function tests, the emphasis here is on details of procedure rather than on indications and interpretations in varying clinical situations.
