From porifera to mammalia, Warren Andrew has produced a compendium of current hematologic knowledge of the animal kingdom. From the scope of the subject, one would expect a much larger work. However, because of the author's commendable ability to clarify a great mass of material, we are spared such monumental tedium in this lucid text of the salient hematologic features of each genus. There is an extensive bibliography included for those who would desire particular detail of the subjects covered.
The subject material is presented on a morphological and functional basis. It is thus easy to follow the degree of
