Perhaps no other discipline in medicine is expanding at such a rapid rate and at the same time transversing such a broad spectrum of sciences as that which we call medical genetics. The present and fourth volume of Progress in Medical Genetics, edited by A. G. Steinberg and A. G. Bearn, so amply illustrates this point.
