In the early morning of February 17 the headquarters building of the American College of Physicians was swept by fire. No one was injured, but damage was severe to the business offices of the College and to the editorial offices of the ANNALS OF INTERNAL MEDICINE. These offices are now temporarily located in the adjacent building of the College insurance administrators and the mailing address is unchanged: 4200 Pine St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104.
In the editorial office only two manuscripts are known to have been destroyed. The rest of the manuscripts that were undergoing editorial processing are intact (by which
