Although this book review section is generally directed toward the healthy criticism of weighty scientific tomes, which are primarily directed toward clinical scientists rather than to the general practicing physician, there comes a time now and then when the general practicing physician must be made alert to the fact that he is frequently placed in the position of making quick decisions and quick movements in order to save someone's life. Hence, it is fitting that this book—although seemingly a primer—is included among the weighty volumes of science.
