Books on blood coagulation and bleeding disorders have been appearing at an alarmingly rapid rate recently. They have varied widely in size, orientation, and cost. Some have emphasized theories of blood coagulation; others have concentrated on differential diagnosis; still others have been principally laboratory manuals. This volume has a decidedly practical approach. Is should be of particular usefulness to the busy practitioner who needs to diagnose rapidly yet accurately, then institute the proper treatment.
The first chapter is entitled "The Diagnostic Approach to Bleeding Disorders." After a short, simplified description of the mechanism of hemostasis, the authors discuss in detail
