Diagnostic roentgenology has made tremendous advances since the first edition of this book was published in 1958, and although much of this advance has been in the area of angiography of one organ after another, much new basic material has come on the scene. Thus, the congenital and hereditary diseases have become more meaningful and more closely scrutinized; more information has been accumulated about such conditions as carcinoid tumors, villous adenomas, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis or pulmonary artery coarctations—to mention just a few.
