Any method of study resulting in early detection of neoplastic lesions that arise in the pancreas or ampulla of Vater would be a welcome addition to the armamentarium of any physician. Whether the early detection of neoplasm in the pancreas can be accomplished by examination of the duodenum is, even after one reads this book, still doubtful, but the authors present a technique that undoubtedly leads to more accurate evaluation of the second portion of the duodenum than through employment of the conventional roentgenologic examination.
