This is a beautifully printed book, and in its 87 pages is a mass of useful information. It provides a simple and readable review of the chemistry, pharmacology, and physiology of the available progestational agents. The chapter on endometrial histology must be singled out particularly for excellence of microphotography and histologic interpretations. The chemistry and pharmacology is lucidly described. Unfortunately, the book is marred by many unnecessary errors, such as: title, progestogen is the preferred American spelling (see Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary); acknowledgments, Dr. Edwin M.
