To the Editor: In the article entitled "The Sella Turcica in Postpartum Pituitary Necrosis (Sheehan's Syndrome)" by Drs. Meador and Worrell which appeared in the August 1966 ANNALS (p. 259), it is stated that "No previous reports of sella turcica measurements or mention of small sellar size in patients with Sheehan's syndrome were found in the literature."
It is possible that the authors had not seen the article "Post-partum Hypopituitarism in Ceylon" in the Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, vol. 59 (no. 3) of March 1966, in which we describe one patient who had a "comparatively small pituitary fossa"
