The eighteenth of the annual series devoted to bringing concise information on current therapeutic methods to the practicing physician contains a wealth of material but falls down badly in editing and poor organization with subsequent abundance of duplication. There is, for example, a chapter in the section of infectious diseases on "Streptococcal Sore Throat" and in the section on respiratory disease, a chapter entitled "Pharyngitis Streptococcal"; the treatment of this straightforward condition differs significantly in these two discussions.
