The first supplement to the Acta Hepatosplenologica reported on current problems of hepatology that had been discussed at the second Symposium of the International Society for the Study of Liver Diseases in 1962. This second supplement consists of a collection of 25 papers delivered at the Fourth Liver Colloquium held in 1965. Investigators from many European countries attended, but all papers are in German. Topics include both clinical and basic material, such as metabolism of bilirubin in jaundice, iron metabolism, porphyria, primary biliary cirrhosis, the role of autoimmune processes in liver diseases, unusual forms of hepatitis such as lupoid hepatitis
