Peptic ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract is one of the diseases that conveniently lends itself to correlation of basic and clinical science. Dr. Sun has exploited this fact in masterful fashion. In clear and concise prose, confusing terminology and complex concepts of gastric function are made both lucid and relevant to clinical problems. Monographs of this type are frequently of more value than books of the textbook type because of the possibilities for including relatively new advances in the field.
Unfortunately, a "publication lag" is evident in this book in at least two relatively important areas. The amino-acid structure of
