The sixteenth volume of the Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology is devoted to the experimental production of disease states. It is divided into 16 parts, of which the tenth part is under review here. Part 9 was published in 1964; Part 11 is still to be published. These three volumes deal with experimental infections, and whereas Part 9 contained infections caused by metazoa, protozoa, viruses, and experimental tuberculosis, Part 10 is devoted to a survey of experimental infections caused by various organisms ranging from the pseudomonas group to the streptococci.
