Editor of the Yearbook of Drug Therapy and of Treatment in General Practice, an emeritus professor of pharmacology, and a consultant in therapeutics, Dr. Beckman is often asked for advice concerning the choice of drugs in specific situations. In what he calls his "rather tremulous swan song," he has compiled over a thousand questions, with replies, concerning therapy in some 250 to 300 clinical conditions.
