This is the second volume of a handbook treating the radiological diagnosis of internal diseases. The editor and three coauthors discuss the investigation of the gastrointestinal and urogenital tracts and of the liver, gallbladder, and spleen. The depth of the material varies from chapter to chapter. Even some common radiological diagnoses are described inadequately. There is no illustration of intussusception, and the treatment of this disease by hydrostatic pressure is not mentioned. Special procedures, especially isotope scanning and angiography, are incompletely described. The discussion of renal angiography and its merit, for instance, is insufficient.
