The second edition has been considerably rewritten and throughout is noticeably infused with current dermatologic literature and thinking. Major emphasis is placed on neoplastic dermatoses and correlation of cutaneous and systemic disease. When appropriate, illustrations of both gross and microscopic pathology of internal organs are included. Treatment of individual diseases has been understandably omitted, however, but a proper and merited exception is the critical evaluation of management of cutaneous neoplasia.
The author's approach to clinical dermatology stresses the basic cutaneous reaction pattern. He uses histologic morphology as the keystone for classification of cutaneous disorders. His textual material is concise, well-informed,
