Dr. Eastham has revised his paperback book that attempts in outline form to correlate the results of hematologic tests with those many conditions responsible for their being abnormal. In this sense the title may mislead the reader who is accustomed, first, to finding a specific "clinical" hematologic disease in a text and, second, to looking for procedures appropriate in laboratory diagnosis. There are six separate chapters, considering the subjects of hemoglobin and assorted pigments; red cells; anemia; leukocytes; bone marrow; and bleeding, coagulation, and transfusion.
