Although written by a surgeon for young surgeons and practitioners, this monograph should be of interest to all clinicians. In general, it reflects the author's clinical approach to pancreatitis. The literature cited is not exhaustive. Key articles form the bibliographic reference lists which are located conveniently at the end of each chapter. There is a suitable index containing over 700 items. The illustrations and text are generally clear but do not completely cover this subject.
