Jerome Rotstein states that the aim of this new series is to provide rheumatologists with up-to-date bibliographies and critical discussions of topics of current interest. The first volume contains two reviews on lysosomes, two on experimental models of rheumatic diseases, one on mycoplasmas, and one on the subcellular control of protein synthesis. The topics have been well-selected to cover important areas of fundamental investigation in which rheumatologists are currently engaged.
