Kalbag and Woolf have provided us with more detailed information about dural sinus thrombosis than most physicians will want to have. The authors begin with a dull parroting of the work of Padgett in their consideration of the embryology of cerebral veins. This is followed by a skillful presentation of the anatomy of the dural sinuses before the authors launch into their main theme—the manifestations, the course, and the management of dural sinus thrombosis.
Drs. Kalbag and Woolf have chosen to present detailed case histories and exhaustive citations of literature which experts will find invaluable but which detract from readability.
