Dr. Berenblum's book is a survey of recent and current lines of investigation, with some attention to their origins and prospects for the immediate future. He appears to be writing for the physician or the graduate student in biological science who wants a panoramic view without excessive detail. His book would be hard going for a layman without a background in biology and chemistry through the college level.
Dr. Cameron's paperback is for the layman; it reviews "causes" of cancer, contemporary methods in diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and characteristics of cancers at certain sites. Includes instructions for self-examinations of
