This German monograph has two parts. The first two thirds of the text consist of a detailed description and discussion of clinical and biochemical aspects of scleroderma, including a short section on lathyrism as a model for connective-tissue disorders. This part contains excellent figures of cutaneous, histologic, and roentgenographic manifestations of the disease. The remaining third of the text is a survey of the structure and chemistry of connective tissue.
