The Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology appears at variable intervals in comparatively thin, and therefore rather handy books representing the volumes and subsections of an ambitious attempt to give a modern survey of the experimental production of disease. Part 11A of Volume XVI is a continuation of that section devoted to infectious diseases and deals mainly with yeasts and fungi. It has been written by H. R. P. Seeliger and W. Werner, who have contributed an excellent volume on a topic on which many of us are sadly misinformed. The text is factual and should not present undue difficulties to readers
