In Fundamentals of Neuropathology there can be no argument with the author's approach to the description of neuropathologic entities in relating them to pathologic changes in the body as a whole. He accomplishes this integration by including discussions of various systemic diseases and how they affect the nervous system.
The organization of the volume in some respects is conventional—for example, in the initial chapter on elements of the nervous system, normal and pathologic. This is an excellent summary of information, concisely stated. It includes certain clinical pathologic features, such as physical and chemical features of the cerebrospinal fluid.
