Twenty-seven papers first presented in September 1965 at a symposium organized by the Center for Calcium and Phosphorus Metabolism (Center André-Lichtwitz) and held at Tours. Twelve papers are in French. Fifteen are in English; of these, four are on topics especially important to clinicians—osteomalacia after gastrectomy (Morgan), vitamin D-resistant rickets (Thompson), osteomalacia of renal insufficiency (Stanbury), and pathogenesis and treatment of osteomalacia (Nordin). However, several of the other papers in English will interest physicians concerned with bone physiology.
