The rapidly expanding and diverse literature on sexual development poses a problem for the physician and the student who wishes to learn about this complicated and important field. It is remarkable that Dr. Federman, as a single author, has been able to correlate material from the various disciplines and present it in such a logical and understandable fashion. It indicates a rich experience in these areas.
