Having a succinct style, well-organized, accurate, and reasonably up-to-date content, pertinent and current bibliographic references, and clearly presented conclusions and opinions, this book remains, in my opinion, the most useful textbook of neurology. It is filled with sagacious points drawn from a long and discerning clinical experience; for instance, the author states that "the headaches which occur in patients with intracranial tumors cannot be differentiated either by their nature or their location from headaches due to other causes"; "degenerative changes in the cervical spine are common but in the majority of cases they are productive of few or no symptoms
