Like the proverbial political candidate in an election year, this book offers a little something for everyone. There are 22 separate chapters, each by a different author. Many of the presentations serve as a good introduction to a particular subject, a few provide a more or less definitive discussion, and some present a strange mixture of introductory material and technical jargon incomprehensible to the unfamiliar reader.
The book contains much useful information in spite of the varied treatment given by its authors and should be useful as a reference source for physicians interested in surveying various topics in cancer. References
