This volume of 425 pages written by Dr. Zelickson and 22 collaborators replaces a small volume on the same subject published by Dr. Zelickson several years ago. The light and electron microscopic morphology are covered so that the student will find himself oriented at all times. The chapter on technique is brief, but the references to more complete discussions are given. Chapters on morphology of skin by Montagna, Hu, and Giacometti and on general cell structure by Wood are necessary and well-done.
