The symposium contains 14 papers by noted developmental biologists who present experimental data or brief reviews on a variety of systems. The 14 papers form the factual part of the book and, as such, provide a cross section of experimental approaches on developmental biology, morphogenesis, and regulation of gene activity in multicellular, nucleated organisms.
