This is a well-illustrated dermatological text with a brief and easy-to-understand description of the common dermatoses. The particular value of this book, in my opinion, would be its usefulness for the practitioner or serving medical officer who does not have much previous knowledge in dermatology and who does not have the immediate advice of a dermatologist. The dictionary index provided is most useful and further aids identification of the skin problem. A program of treatment of each dermatoses is given even though it might be repetitive.
