Most physicians neglect the foot and ankle on general examination, or they feel confused and inadequate when confronted with a major complaint of foot and ankle pain. This practical and concise treatise might well be subtitled, "What Every Physician Should Know About the Foot and Ankle." The book includes an excellent chapter on structural anatomy followed by one on examination of the foot and the whole complex of the lower extremity that may involve factors related to foot and ankle problems. The various determinants involved in gait and their relation to the foot and ankle are clearly described and illustrated
