A few years ago plasma proteins interested chiefly biochemists. Today a working knowledge of these substances is a necessity for all clinicians. Our knowledge in the area of plasma proteins has grown so rapidly in the last 10 years that preparation of an up-to-date book on the subject is impossible. Dr. J. Gras, well-known Spanish biochemist, has nearly done the impossible. In one volume he has managed to cover the plasma proteins from all angles, from separation with ammonium sulfate to ultracentrifuge analysis and chromatography.
