Taking its place among the excellent general texts of pediatric cardiology is the multiauthored volume edited by Moss and Adams. Most of the chapters are well written, well illustrated, and provided with adequate bibliographies. Many of the contributors give almost exhaustive treatment of their assigned subjects; a few of the efforts are disappointing and ineffective.
The text is divided into six parts, the first containing chapters devoted to the development of the cardiovascular system, fetal and perinatal circulation, genetic aspects of congenital heart disease, and computer applications in electrocardiography and diagnosis of cardiac defects, as well as the techniques for
