Reprint (original edition, 1952) of major monograph on anatomy, physiology, life cycle, ecology, evolution, and classification of the cestode worms. The term "tapeworm" is used in this title for the entire class Cestoda and not in the narrow medical sense that usually includes members of the genera Taenia, Diphyllobothrium, and Hymenolopsis.
Although medical aspects of cestode infections are not covered in it, this reference work belongs in libraries of medical schools, institutes of research in infectious disease, and clinical specialists in parasitology and tropical disease.
